From Apprentice to Professional: Zyron Hessell’s Journey to Electrical Success
Beginning his career journey with MGE in 2021, Zyron entered the electrical trade with practical knowledge acquired from undertaking a pre-trade course. During his apprenticeship, Zyron has consistently expanded his skill set and made valuable contributions to the workplace culture. He has shown a strong commitment to his studies and to the workplace, which has been noticed by Louis Marsh, Test Electrician and workplace mentor.
“Zyron has become a key part of this business, and with his knowledge and the wonderful team culture he brings, I see him succeeding in whatever he puts his mind to. We are very lucky to have Zyron.” Says Louis.
A noteworthy achievement
The Level 4 Electrical Engineering (Electrician) theory exam assesses participants’ knowledge of electrical theory, systems, equipment, machinery, and safety protocols in an electrical environment. This exam is known for its difficulty and is the last step towards obtaining certification as an electrician. Zyron’s near-perfect score is a significant accomplishment achieved by only a few individuals. Recognising Zyron’s success, Louis shared.
“this score shows that Zyron has a great understanding of the theory and science behind the electrical industry. Zyron has great potential, and I see him becoming an Electrical Engineer in the future.”
Continuing to grow
We believe that mentorship and opportunities for growth should not end when an apprentice becomes fully qualified. MGE is passionate about mentoring our apprentices to enable them to reach their goal of becoming a qualified electrician, with opportunities for continued professional development provided after this goal is reached.
