Distribution Line Mechanic

McKay is expanding our Street Lighting and Infrastructure capability in the Wellington region. We are recruiting for a qualified Line Mechanic to join our high-performing team and play a key role in developing a strong pipeline of work.

In this role, you’ll be involved in a diverse range of projects - from large-scale street lighting installations to commercial and industrial infrastructure work. No two days are the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who thrives on variety and enjoys working across different environments.

About You

• Qualified Distribution Line Mechanic
• Current EWRB Registration
• A full class 1 Licence (Class 2 preferred)
• Strong understanding of industry safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
